Planning factors
There are a number of general planning factors that you should think about when planning a play facility. These are some of the things that we will discuss with you when planning a playground:

User volumes... how many children will your project need to accommodate? This will effect the overall layout, size and budget.
What is the age range of the children your project is intended for? How many in each age range? Children's interests and their idea of what is fun changes as they develop.
What space is available? An effective layout is crucial in the design stage. Using your available space to your best advantage is imperative.
What about access? Accommodating those with physical challenges or enhanced developmental needs can be a priority. Providing a layout that benefits all users is always a goal.
Proper safety zones and safety surface under and around your structure is a necessity. Knowing your options is something that we will assist with.
Is the project indoor or out door? We have products for both situations and will help you choose what best suits your needs.

Safety
Our installations meet or exceed the CAN/CSA - Z614-03. Our products are all designed to meet or exceed these safety guidelines and we will endeavor to design to your specifications if your area has requirements beyond the CAN/CSA - Z7614-03. Our American-manufactured products meet both the CSA and ASTM standards. Our team of qualified installations experts will ensure that all requirements are met. We have six Certified Playground Safety Inspectors on staff.

Installation
Your playground can be installed entirely by professionals, or your organization can provide the manpower under expert supervision on community projects. In either case, it's essential that the equipment be installed safely so that it meets the CSA standards. Peak can help you with either method of installation. Our trained and experienced people will ensure that the result is safe and fun for your children.

Cost
The value our customers receive is paramount. We work with them to provide opportunities to maximize the value. High quality and safe opportunities for fun are our contributions. We will provide as much of this within your budget that is possible.

Maintenance
We can provide regular, scheduled maintenance programs for most all play structures and facilities. We invented the mobile cleaning and maintenance program for the fast food industry in Western Canada. Peak can provide safety inspections, maintenance inspections or full audits with costing to rectify all problems identified. Our inspectors are Certified Playgrounds Inspectors experienced with the CSA Standards. We inspect, repair and maintain all playground products regardless of manufacturer.

Delivery time
Delivery times depend on configurations and exact requirements. The minimum time you can expect your playground to be ready for operation is one to two months after ordering. Of course weather conditions are a factor for outdoor installations. At Peak, we would be happy to work with you to meet any time constraints you may have.

Warranty
There is no set warranty for all playground equipment. Each individual component is warranted to be free of defects for a specified time. Peak would be glad to explain the details of warranties and replacements for the specific equipment you are considering.

Colours and material
Playground equipment comes in a wide variety of colours and material. It's important that all plastics are treated to resist the effects ultra violet rays in sunlight (UV treating). Fasteners must be tamper-proof and not constitute hazards in themselves. Poles, decking, and welds must be able to survive the rigours of Canadian weather and stand up under the constant traffic of enthusiastic children. Peak has plenty of experience with indoor and outdoor structures that last.

Off shelf or custom
You will see many types of play structures on the web sites and in the catalogues of our suppliers. These are only start points to get your imagination going! Most components can be used as building blocks to produce what you want. Peak's designers would be glad to work with you to produce a safe and fun playground tailored to your needs.
